Applications of WM-106 Whiteness Meter

Whiteness Meter measures the whiteness value of object or powder with flat surface directly. It can be widely used in whiteness measurement of textile printing and dyeing, paper board, plastic products, white cement, ceramics, enamel, talc powder, starch, flour, salt, detergent, cosmetics, paint, chemical building materials, and other substances.

Principle of WM-106 Whiteness Meter

The device is comprised of a Light Source, Optical System, Detection System, Data Processing, and Display System. It calculates whiteness using the blue light whiteness formula R457.

Featuring a long-lasting LED light source at 457nm, this apparatus aligns with the JJG 512-2002 National Metrological Whiteness Meter Verification Regulation’s standards for light sources. The apparatus determines whiteness through the photoelectric effect. It gathers the diffuse reflectance Radiant Brightness Energy Value from the surface of the sample using an optical cell. This value is then boosted by a precision auto-zeroing operational amplifier, processed through a calibration circuit for energy adjustment, and the whiteness level of the sample is immediately presented on the display.
